Have You Copied My 10m Beacon ?

Previously licensed as KA2GKA since May 1979 Then N4HLF in 2003 and now AC4DJ since Nov. 2009
Beacon has been On The Air Since 1999 and runs 24 / 7.

When you operate a beacon between 28.200 & 28.300 it can be automatically controlled
so a control operator does not have to be present.

I have received local ground wave reports up to 100 miles and also copied it
in my mobile 70 miles away.

Beacon Radio is a modified HTX-100 running 50 watts into an AR-10 Ringo at 50ft.
Driver and output transistors were replaced and radio re-aligned and checked
on a spectrum analyzer.

Added 2 cooling fans to the HTX-100's heat sink, one on top of the power supply
and fans on the pass transistors heat sink.

Beacon has a 12v 125AH marine battery that will supply power
automatically in case of a power drop or outage and is under
a constant 13.5 vdc float charge while the beacon is operating
going through a diode pack to prevent reverse current from getting into the power supply.

Code speed is about 15 W.P.M. with a 2 second pause in between transmissions.

I have received QSL's from all over the world. If you hear the beacon, send your report
and a QSL will be mailed in a few days..

A SASE ( return postage ) is not required even if outside the USA.
