I am a 23 year old Orange Winged Amazon Parrot "Gonzo" named after one of the Muppets.
I have a strong bond with my owner ( AC4DJ ) and enjoy being with him.

He cut down a nice tree, trimmed it, and mounted it on a platform
for me to stay in his computer room.

I like to get his attention by climbing down my tree and run all over the house as I know he will chase after me.
I consider myself a spoiled bird as I have a reserved spot at the dinner table.
I enjoy a treat of people food and some of my favorites are, pasta, corn on the cob, potatoes, lima beans, carrots, and liver.
If I don't get what I want, I have this ear piercing screem that will wake up the dead.

I enjoy going places in the car except to the vet for my checkups.
Along side my home there is a vacant field and my owner takes me outside for my daily walk with him.
I can not fly as my flight feathers are kept clipped, but even if I could, I would not leave my owners shoulder.
I am not like most small birds who eat constantly, I will eat 2 or 3 big meals a day with a treat in between.

I also like to break balloons, my owner trained me to do this and if I see one I will either break it with my beak
or toenails, and the "pop" does not scare me. I usually attend the local car cruise-ins on Friday and Saturday Evenings,

The average life of the Orange Winged Amazon is 60-80 years if well cared for.
